The movie is about a young prostitute Collette (played by Vanessa Paradis) who is still naive and innocent. One day, her friend asks her to take care of her son Billy (played by Vincent Rottiers). At first, Collette is hesitant, but eventually she agrees to take him in. However, she soon realizes that raising a child is not as easy as she thought. Billy is going through a rebellious phase and constantly argues with Collette, but at the same time, they develop a different kind of bond.
